I shoot
from the hip

Is a concept that was originally born from shooting pictures from the saddle of my motorcycle, it is a mind set for me. The equipment is expendable but the images are not, if you ride, you know the joy you can derive from finding the perfect line, nailing the apex and being slingshot into a scene that all to often is a fleeting and passing memory.

My passion is motorcycles and pictures of them in their various forms, the stark contrast of a motorcycle on the Bonneville Salt Flats attempting to go faster then any other, the Spectacle of a Grand Prix racing team supporting their rider in his quest to carve a course like a surgeon and claim the checkered flag, oval dirt track or just plain dirt. These bikes provide iconic images as does the rider who attacks Hiway One on the California Coast on any given weekend or the “Dragon” at Deals Gap, N.C. and all points in between.

Stills capture that split second of time where everything stops and nothing is lost, capturing and preserving those memories is what this site is all about. Join me as I search for them in their many forms and stop them in their tracks.
